“people worry that hypnosis means losing control.

It doesn’t.

It means enhancing control of your brain and your experience.”

~dr David Spiegel

It all begins with an idea, a dream from deep in your soul. A dream that your life can be different. That you can be different. A deep longing to step into this life that you know you were created for. The dream that others said was impossible for you.

Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want something more in life. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.

Whatever it is, the way you tell the story to yourself can make all the difference. The narrative that you were fed about what is possible for you can be changed to empower you.

FAQs

WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?

Hypnosis is our natural state of relaxed and focused attention. Therapeutic and healing hypnotherapy bypasses the conscious mind; ‘the critical mind’, allowing new information to reach the subconscious mind without being challenged by the conscious mind.

An example of hypnosis that most of us have experienced is when you are watching a movie or a TV show and you become fully absorbed and you don’t  hear someone is calling you.

IS HYPNOSIS MIND CONTROL?

No, hypnosis is not mind control.

There are many misconceptions about the hypnosis process which comes from movies and live hypnotist shows. These shows contribute to the belief that hypnotherapy is mind control and the hypnotist is in total control of the subject. In reality, no one can be hypnotized without their permission. This is a ‘do with not a do to’ process.

Under hypnosis, if a suggestion is given which is contrary to the clients values, it will be immediately rejected and the clients usually comes out of hypnosis. In other words, the client is always in full control.

HOW CAN HYPNOSIS HELP ME?

Our subconscious mind is where we store our beliefs, patterns of behavior and habits. After a significant event or trauma we can develop unwanted behaviors and over time they will replay the behaviors automatically.

For example, if someone develops a habit to procrastinate whenever it is time to work on their business, this pattern will continue automatically when the person is triggered.

With release work and hypnosis, the subconscious mind can be reprogrammed so that new desirable behavior patterns can be installed and transformation can take place.

What is the subconscious mind?

Our subconscious mind is formed by all the events and traumas we have experienced since we were born; from parents, family, friends, teachers, authority figures, society and culture. Our subconscious stores our beliefs, values, natural aptitudes and talents, fears, long-term memories, emotional associations and habits.

If our subconscious is programmed differently from what we want, we experience resistance. This is experienced through self-sabotage, anxiety, doubt, procrastination or other manifestations. We use hypnotherapy to bring greater alignment with our conscious and subconscious mind, creating positive life beliefs and habits.

Is Hypnosis Always Effective?
